Council approves purchase of CCTV to tackle anti-social behaviour

Stone Parish Council is to pilot a scheme to install CCTV at strategic points. The Council decided to take a collaborative approach with Dartford Borough Council’s Enforcement & regulatory services, to reduce and hopefully eliminate, increasing anti-social behaviour throughout the Parish and Borough.

Council chairman, John Burrell said: “The council has tried a number of different strategies to stop fly tipping in the Parish, and It continues to support Dartford Borough Council with the removal of fly tip, but with incidents still occurring it was felt that the placement of CCTV would hopefully assist in eradicating the problem.”

This approach puts the resource in place for the CCTV to be deployable anywhere in the Parish for the Council to monitor anti-social behaviour. More information will feature in our Newsletter which will be published at the end of the month…
