Stone Parish Council

Working for the Council

Working for the Council is rewarding in many ways. Not only will you be helping to improve the lives of residents while gaining invaluable skills and experience, you will also be entitled to many benefits.

The council has signed up as a Living Wage Employer, which means that employees are paid a minimum of £8.25 per hour. Additionally, employees enjoy benefits such as 33 days holidays rising to 38 days after 5 years service (includes bank holidays), Local Government Pension Scheme, Occupational sick pay, free eye tests (for VDU users), and family-friendly policies.

In order to provide excellent services to our residents, we want staff who are innovative and forward thinking with enthusiasm, skills and talent to share our vision in our drive for excellence.

We are looking for committed people who are passionate about improving the quality of life for parish residents. Strong leadership, drive, enthusiasm and the essential skills to do your job are key to your achievements and the council’s success.
